Kacy Henley grew up in Seattle, and began studying piano at the age of 10, after a year of teaching herself to read music with the help of a plastic recorder and a book. In high school, she began teaching neighborhood kids basic piano, and discovered a passion for helping others learn to make music themselves.
Kacy studied Piano Performance at Seattle Pacific University with Margaret Brink, and graduated with her Bachelors degree in 2015. She has taught all ages from infants to adults in retirement, in formats ranging from private lessons to early childhood music classes and homeschool group classes. She is a regular church musician, and occasionally performs as a soloist or accompanist.
When not teaching or playing, Kacy enjoys cooking, reading, going for walks, and continuing to learn about gardening and beekeeping - hobbies she and her husband share in their own backyard.
